The computer department exists to enable adults with an autistic spectrum difficulty to access and enjoy information
communication technology (ICT). We have a suite of up to date networked broadband internet ready computers. We have two
touch screen computers and hold a range of software which specifically supports literacy, numeracy, communication, social
skills and flexibility of thought. Alongside these programmes we use Microsoft Office to produce displays and desktop publishing.
Individual preferences are also catered for. Students are encouraged to use the touch screens, digital camera, video
camera, scanners aswell as contributing to the Jigsaw Study Centre website through uploading graphics , digital photographs,
or keying in information. to create web pages. Support and encouragement is provided for individuals to take Award Scheme
Development Accreditation Network (ASDAN) modules
